Worship

We believe that worship is the most important activity for a Christian. Worship provides the proper perspective with our Creator and Savior, in that we praise, honor and thank God for life and love.

We invite you to worship with us here at Mount Pisgah. Our congregation is welcoming, and our communion service is open to all believers. Each Sunday we celebrate in four distinct services, employing different styles of worship from traditional to modern. You’ll find a worship service here that will resonate with your inner spirit, so that you may experience the Holy Spirit abundantly!

Traditional Worship (8:30 and 11:00 a.m.)

Traditional worship at Mount Pisgah follows a pattern of worship developed from the earliest gatherings of Christians until the present time. This energy-filled service includes a formal liturgy that proclaims God’s Word, thereby expressing the biblical, historical, and theological integrity of Christian worship. It is a more formal worship atmosphere than our other services, while still allowing for the Holy Spirit to make His witness known.

Traditional Worship meets in the Sanctuary. A worship bulletin containing the liturgy and order of the service is used. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month.

The MOUNT (9:45 a.m.)

The MOUNT is Mount Pisgah's newest worship experience. It is a "non-liturgical" service; we do not use a bulletin with the order of worship, nor do we use traditional liturgy. We incorporate the basic elements that make a service worshipful, such as prayer, scripture, sermon, offering, and singing (lots of singing!).

The MOUNT meets in the Fellowship Hall. The dress is informal, and the service is led by the MOUNT Praise Team, accompanied by the Senior or Associate Pastor or other ministerial staff. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. Join us early for freshly baked cookies and coffee before the service!
