The Weekday School at Mount Pisgah is a half-day preschool offering classes for ages 12 months through Pre-Kindergarten. The program is structured to meet the developmental, physical, social, emotional, spiritual and intellectual needs of children in their respective age groups.
Purpose and Goals
Our Weekday School provides a developmentally-appropriate learning environment for young children. We provide an atmosphere in which self-esteem and a love for learning are instilled. Each child is encouraged to explore, discover and express himself or herself creatively through art, music, movement and play. We provide a warm, loving, safe and secure environment where Christian love abounds.
The Weekday School is a church-sponsored program. While not teaching doctrine, the program uses Christian, Bible-based lessons to help children develop wholesome attitudes and to grow in awareness of God and His world. Social skills are strengthened as children learn to work and play with others under adult guidance.
Teachers
Our caring, professional staff understands the developmental needs of young children. Staff members plan daily activities that offer quiet and active times to develop fine and gross motor skills. All staff members are certified in first aid and CPR. Teachers complete 6 hours of continuing education each year to maintain professional skills. Preschool teachers are certified and/or degreed.
School Schedule
Classes begin the Tuesday after Labor Day and end in late May. Age groups meet as follows:
- Pre-K: M-F; 9:00am-1:00pm
- 4's: M-Th; 9:00am-1:00pm
- 4's: 3 days (choose 3 days M-Th); 9:00am-1:00pm
- 3's: M,W,F; 9:00am-1:00pm
- 3's: M,T,Th; 9:00am-1:00pm
- 2's: M,W,F; 9:00am-1:00pm
- 2's: T,Th; 9:00am-1:00pm
- Toddlers: M,W; 9:00am-1:00pm
Children enrolling in the Toddler Class must be 12 months on or before August 31st. Children two through four years must have reached the given age on or before August 31st. Pre-K students must be five years old by October 16th. First preference for Pre-K will be given to children completing the 4-year old program.
Children ages 3 and above are encouraged to be toilet-trained.
Registration
A non-refundable registration fee of $75 is due upon registration for preschoolers 2 years old through Pre-K. The registration fee for the Toddler Class is $50. Tuition varies by class and is due by the 5th of every month.

The Weekday School is located on the campus of Mount Pisgah Church on the corner of Battleground Avenue and Pisgah Church Road. The entrance to the school is on the north side of the church, adjacent to the playground.
